Your vehicle is design to have a pacific amount of air in the tires. Just because the light is not on does not mean the tire pressure is perfect, in other words all it means is the tire(s) is not dangerously low. We recommend you check your air pressure at least once a month.

When your tire light also known as (tire pressure monitoring system TPMS) comes on you should inspect the amount of air pressure in each of your tires. If one or more tires are low add the proper amount of air in the tire. You can find the manufacture PSI on the driver side in the door frame. Two of many reasons the tire light comes on is low air or a dead senor. If one senor is bad we recommend you change all four at once, because all the batteries have the same amount of wear on them. If the tire light do not turn off in about 15 to 30 minutes after driving take your vehicle to a located tire shop.
